Battling cold hands during those winter adventures can be a real drag. Whether you’re carving up the slopes, cruising on your motorcycle, or venturing out for a simple dog walk, frozen fingers make it tough to enjoy the moment. That’s why I decided to give the Venustas Heated Gloves a try – and boy, am I glad I did!

Table of Contents

The Promise of Warmth

Venustas Heated Gloves are designed with a clear goal – to keep your hands warm and toasty in even the harshest winter conditions. They feature a combination of technologies to fulfill this promise:

  • Carbon Fiber Heating Elements: These ensure even heat distribution across your entire hand for optimal warmth.
  • 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation: This layer works to trap the heat generated, preventing those nasty chills from creeping in.
  • Water-resistant and Wind-resistant: Because cold weather often comes with a side of precipitation and wind, these features offer extra protection from the elements.
  • Touchscreen Compatibility: No need to expose your hands to take photos or use your phone.
  • Adjustable Fit: With velcro and a closure system, you can achieve a snug and secure fit.
  • Up to 8 Hours of Heat: Stay warm throughout your adventures with a long-lasting battery.
    • High – 3 Hours, Medium – 5 Hours, Low – 8 Hours
  • 3 Heat Settings: Customize the warmth – low, medium, and high.
  • Charging Time: Up to 2 Hours

Testing in the Real World

  • Warmth & Comfort: They absolutely deliver on the warmth factor. I’ve used them during ski trips, mountain biking, and motorcycle rides in cold weather, and my hands stayed consistently comfortable. The adjustable heat settings are a huge plus – I found myself mostly using the low and medium settings for all-day warmth.
  • Fit & Design: The gloves fit me true to size and felt well-constructed and durable. The finger lengths were spot on, allowing for dexterity without compromising warmth. Plus, they aren’t bulky at all, which was a pleasant surprise.
  • Battery Life: They lived up to the advertised runtime. A full day of skiing was no issue, keeping my hands warm throughout. I would crank them up in the morning to get that base heat, and then generally had them on the lowest setting to keep my hands and fingers cozy.
  • Weather Resistance: I’ve put these gloves through plenty of snowy conditions and they’ve held up like champs! No moisture issues to report.

The Versatility Factor

Beyond my initial experiences, I can see these gloves being incredibly useful for a whole range of winter activities. Shoveling snow? No problem, your hands will stay toasty. Taking photos on a winter hike? The touchscreen compatibility ensures you can snap those scenic shots without removing the gloves. I’m really impressed with how well they balance warmth and practicality.

The Not-So-Perfect

While my overall experience was positive, there’s one improvement I’d love to see:

  • Proprietary Charger: I wish I could simply charge these with a standard USB-C cable, just like most of my other devices. Having to carry a dedicated charger is an inconvenience, especially when traveling.

The Verdict

If you’re someone who battles cold hands during winter activities, I highly recommend investing in the Venustas Heated Gloves. They provide reliable warmth, comfort, and the features you need for a pleasant outdoor experience. The minor annoyance of the proprietary charger is outweighed by the gloves’ overall performance. I haven’t been easy on these gloves! Lots of days on the slopes, many mornings pushing snow and putting down salt, and a few frozen bike rides – and they show almost no sign of wear. I’m confident that these will last me at least a few years!
